The Musts of Geneva
Geneva’s attractions not to miss.
The City Centre and the old town
Hop on the boat and take a closer look on the Jet d’Eau. Stroll on the cobblestone streets of the old town and discover all its secret nooks and paths. Wander through the Parc des Bastion under the majestic chestnut trees and see the imposing figures of the Reformation Wall.
The Quartier des Bains
The trendy neighbourhood of the « Quartiers des Bains » is home to all things artistic. Cutting-edge art galleries host national and international artists, and industrial factories of the 1950s are transformed into museums such as the Contemporary Art Centre.
The Rue du Rhône
Shopping – Indulge in a little window shopping on Rue du Rhône, the flagship location for some of the most prestigious fashion brands.
One of the cities’ land marks is “The Broken Chair” on Place des Nations, heart of the international organisations area.
Visit the Palais des Nations, the second largest United Nations Centre, ideally located in a park facing the lake and the Alps. Along the way, be sure to look at the Red Cross museum. Continue the journey by visiting the CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research.
Enjoy the greenery and choose from among Geneva’s 50 parks and gardens, with a special recommendation for the Parc des Eaux-Vives and its magical rose garden. Let yourself be carried by the waves and take a relaxing cruise on Lake Geneva.
